Analysis (whoo, scientific): Evidence of hair pins in the Lord of the Rings! In this style, the hair is parted for the first few inches, then the sides are twisted and pulled loosely up and back. They're held by what looks an awful lot like a hairpin, as you can see in pictures 1, 2, and 3. You can see a small piece of hair used to hold the rest back in pictures 2 and 3. The rest of the hair hangs free and is wavy.

Directions: Part the first few inches of your hair, and gather each side. Twist the sides and pin them high on the sides of the head, making sure not to take too much hair or it will fall. Leave the rest down and wavy, and that's it!
